ABOUT
Studio Rara+ is a collaborative architectural design practice founded as an idea in Bandung in 2017 by Dhaneswara Dewata and Hagai Gitri Batara.
What began as a two-person idea gradually took shape over the following years, with the studio officially beginning its practice in 2022. Studio Rara+ operates across Jakarta and Bekasi, working with a growing team of architects, designers, and technicians.
The studio works across a range of scales and project types, from residential and hospitality projects to commercial spaces and smaller objects. Each project begins with an understanding of its particular context, requirements, and possibilities, shaping the way the studio develops its ideas and designs.
Studio Rara+ remains collaborative in the way it works, bringing together different perspectives, skills, and experiences throughout the design process. The practice is interested in making architecture that is considered, useful, and distinct to the people and places it serves.
The name Rara+ originates from the studio’s early idea of Research and Analyze of Rational Architecture. The idea has since become less of a formula and more of a reminder to question, investigate, and make things with intent.
